5 Fold Ministry December 17, 2007

The purpose of the fivefold ministry is to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry and edify the body of Christ.  The ministry is ordained by God until the body of Christ comes to believe one doctrine, have an intimate knowledge of the Son of God, and be complete in Christ measured by the stature of His fulness.  This will never be fully accomplished on earth.  The purpose will ultimately be fulfilled when we are glorified together with Christ. The messenger of God not only speaks from God, but speaks to the condition of its hearers.  Preaching is a gift, you need time spending and exercising the gift in order to perfect it.

Submission and Authority December 16, 2007

People are firm believers in James 4:7 resist the Devil and he must flee, but we forget “therefore submit to God.”  If you are not submitted to your authority Satan will not recognize yours.  When we become intimately acquainted with the spirit of God all other spirits must come under subjection to the authority gained through this relationship.  Submission = Authority.  Submission is the key to power and authority in the Holy Ghost.  When you are submitted to your authority then you will have power in the spirit realm.

The Key to defeating your Personal Giants December 15, 2007

Filed under: Five Fold Ministry and Gifts of the Spirit — Summer Hardy @ 3:48 pm

Don’t pray for the gifts, but seek God’s character. When you seek God’s character a seed will be planted in you and will grow as ou become more like him. The fact that God used Balaam’s donkey didn’t change the fact that he was a donkey. The measure of spiritual gifts don’t measure spirituality. Joshua and Caleb were separated fromthe other ten because they had already killed their giants. When you kill your giants and keep them under subjection God is then free to take you to new dimensions. The key to defeating your personal giants Exodus 24:13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God. Joshua was stuck between the voice of the people and the rumble of God for 40 days. He couldn’t go into the mount because he would be killed and he couldn’t go down to the people because he would be sucked in. The way that God made sure that Joshua could handle the responsibility of leader was to isolate him. If Joshua could defeat his personal giants at 17, then he would be able to conquer cities at 35. God tests you before he gives you credit. Joshua never received any credit, yet nothing negative ever came out of his mouth. With every testing there is a seed planted and will grow as you become more like Him. Don’t seek the gifts of God, but seek the God of gifts. When people seek the gifts they become unbalanced and make a lot of mistakes. Work on your isolation time and you will grow, and you will find that th seed has flourished and has become a seed bearing much fruit. The fruit of the Spirit grows in the valley not on the mountain top. The more you are used in the gifts the more you must work on your character.
