We cannot obtain perfection, until we acknowledge our imperfections

Life and death are in the power of the tongue. What you give your voice to will come walking down the road of your life.

WHen we become consumed with material things never again will we have to say, “Silver and Gold have I none.” But we also may never again say, “In the name of Jesus Christ rise up and walk.”

The Focus December 17, 2007

Don’t focus on who you are, focus on who He is.

Grace – The Power to Live December 17, 2007

Filed under: Grace mercy and justification by faith, Living the Life — Summer Hardy @ 9:50 am

Grace is more than the unmerited favor of God.  Grace = Power, Power to live an overcoming life.  Grace is something that you do through the power of God.  Mercy picks up when all human strength and power is gone.  Mercy carries you through the storm.  Mercy is only something God can do.  Mercy is in the cross and Grace is in the Holy Ghost.

Failures December 17, 2007

Filed under: Living the Life, Motivation and Encouragment — Summer Hardy @ 9:41 am

When you tell God “I can’t” because of failures and short-comings, you question His omnipotence.  If God could not use you in-spite of what you are then He would not be omnipotent.  When you say “but you don’t know what I’v done.”  You’ve just forgotten what He’s done.

Time and Eternity December 17, 2007

Filed under: Living the Life — Summer Hardy @ 8:18 am

Our lives are only a short and fevered rehearsal for a concert that we will not stay long enough to give.  There is simply not enough time to think what our nature indicates what we are capable of.  A.W. Towser The Devil’s first plan is to make you lose your salvation, if that doesn’t work he will frustrate you so that you are useless in kingdom issues.  Ecclesiastics  3:11  We are eternity creatures, but God has placed us within the dimensions of time for a season.  We are so reconciled to time that we are astonished at it.  Our strengths, responsibilities, dreams, and demands placed upon us are all in conflict.  To Live is to Choose!  Good life is not always doing what you want but what you ought. Many things call for you, but you must determine what is urgent and what is important.  Don’t let the urgent steal away from the important.  Life offers many good things, but very few best things.

Just because everyone’s doing it doesn’t make it ok.
