In that God created us we were the object of His creation. When man fell, God became the object of our theology. But while Christ died of the cross emptying out Himself, becoming again the subject that which we could now knowGod and making us again the rightful place of His object of creation.
Nature of God’s love December 15, 2007
“God is love” (1 John 4:8,16) just as truly as he is “light” (John 1:5) “truth” (1 John 1:6) and “Spirit” (John 9:24). Spirit and light are expressions of His essential nature, and love is the expression of his personality corresponding to His nature, and He imputes this nature through Calvary and through the Holy Ghost unto his children. “For he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.” (1 John 4:6)
